The West Memphis Chamber of Commerce, City of West Memphis, Main Street West Memphis and many others join together to host a variety of things to do throughout each year.  The Gumbo Fest, Freedom Fest, Taste of The Town, Arkansas Flathlander, annual Christmas parade and the Christmas tree lighting, just to name a few.

If you are a sports enthusiast, they are year around in this area.  The local school districts offer football, basketball, tennis, golf, softball, baseball, track/field and volleyball.  The Boys and Girls Club of Crittenden County have a season of football and basketball. The City of West Memphis sponsors an adult softball league during the summer and fall seasons.   On the fascinating campus of Arkansas State University Mid-South, you will find an intriguing 18 hole disc golf course that stretches across their north and south campuses.  They are also home of the Greyhounds...where during basketball season you can come help pack The Dog House for some fun on the court.  

Conveniently located just 10 minutes from Downtown Memphis, you can catch a game at the FedEx Forum to see the Memphis Grizzlies or visit Auto Zone Park and see the Memphis Redbirds.
West Memphis is also home to the renowned Southland Park Gaming and Racing.  With over 1450 gaming machines, it also features live greyhound racing onsite throughout the year and simulcast out-of-state races, as well as table games like blackjack, Texas Hold ‘Em and Omaha tournament poker. For fans of fast-paced attractions, visit the Riverside International Speedway, the oldest continually operated dirt track in Arkansas with a variety of race car classes such as Midget race cars, sprint cars, and stock cars.
